Baby and Child Sleep Consultation

Sleep is a natural and necessary function. It’s a vital restructuring process for our body to rest, and thus recharge energy. In babies and children, it is also vital for their physical and mental growth.

Sleeping deprivation can cause symptoms such as irritability, stress, lack of concentration and agitation, ultimately affecting the family’s harmony.

In the baby and child sleep consultations, I do not do training, gymnastics, magic or miracles. I don’t put babies and children sleeping alone, because I don’t think that concept is telling the whole truth either. I don’t promote fears, either. I demystify concepts and talk about crying and emotional regulation.

In this consultation, I help parents to understand, what may be conditioning this natural and physiological need. I help parents and children (of any age) to sleep better! I promote the environment and give the necessary support so that sleep assumes its natural function.

I am a clinical psychologist, and as such, I integrate during my follow-up, all my experience and knowledge of my field. Through a whole assessment of the current situation of each child, I include in my intervention the physiological processes of sleep, the stage of emotional development, the parent-child interaction, the processes of bonding and communicating, behavior, lifestyle, expectations and the environment. I do a follow-up process, where I always stay close to the parents, so we can understand and improve everyone’s sleep.
